Ukraine-Russia war latest: Zelensky warns of missile shortage and says Putin will benefit from ‘long war’ in Iran

Zelensky: Repair works 'ongoing' as latest Russian drone attacks leave thousands without powerUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned of a missile shortage and says Putin will benefit from a “long war” in Iran.
Appearing on the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, he said the US produces around 60 to 65 Patriot missiles a month, which equates to roughly 600 to 700 a year. On the first day of the Middle East war, 103 missiles were used, he warned.
He said there will “definitely” be a deficit, and the question is now “when will all the stockpiles in the Middle East be exhausted”.
“For Putin, a long war in Iran is a plus,” as resources deplete, added.
“So it is beneficial for Putin that the resources do not go to Ukraine, against whom he has directed his army, and he's fighting with he needs to weaken us. And this is a long process. The Middle East is one of the ways to do that.”
His comments come after at least four people were killed in Russian drone attacks on ..

Iran-US war latest: Iran says Strait of Hormuz open to all but ‘enemy-linked ships’ after Trump’s threat

Netanyahu: 'Iran have the capacity to reach deep into Europe – they're putting everyone in their sights'The Strait of Hormuz remains open to all shipping except vessels linked to “Iran's enemies”, a top Iranian official said Sunday, after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to “obliterate” the Islamic Republic’s power grid if the waterway was not “fully open” within 48 hours.
“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST,” the president wrote on Truth Social on Saturday evening.
Tanker traffic through the waterway — a vital artery of global commerce — has ground to a halt amid Iran’s de facto blockade. As a result, oil prices have surged beyond the $100-a-barrel threshold and the average cost for a gallon of diesel has risen above $5.

Statues down, streets renamed, mural covered: Fallout grows after claims against Cesar Chavez

The name and likeness of Cesar Chavez were swiftly removed from buildings, roads, parks and schools after allegations surfaced accusing the farmworker rights icon of sexually assaulting minors and fellow labour leader Dolores Huerta. Within just two days of a New York Times investigation bringing the claims to light, officials and activists across California moved rapidly to erase Chavez’s presence from public spaces. Many said they were shocked by the allegations and felt immediate action was necessary. The speed of the response was described as unprecedented, especially in a state where Chavez’s legacy in the fight for agricultural workers’ rights is deeply embedded, Los Angeles Times reported.Israel Iran WarUS-Israel-Iran War News Live Updates: Israel pounds Tehran as Iranians mark Nowruz; UAE, Kuwait defences respond to missile barrageTrump Rules Out Ceasefire: says US nears Iran war goals; signals wider military options'Enemy has been defeated': Iran's Mojtaba Khame..
