Sharjah Public Parking/Representative Image Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking for the first three days of Eid Al Fitr 2026, easing movement across the emirate as authorities roll out a wider transport plan to manage increased travel during the holiday. Public parking users in Sharjah will be exempt from fees on the first, second and third day of Eid Al Fitr, allowing residents and visitors to move around without worrying about parking charges during the festive period. The exemption, however, does not apply to smart parking lots and public parking zones that remain chargeable throughout the week and on official holidays. These areas are marked with blue informational signs, and motorists are advised to follow the signage to avoid fines.

Alongside the parking announcement, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has confirmed its readiness for Eid through a comprehensive operational plan aimed at ensuring smooth and seamless mobility across the emirate. The plan includes operating 4,600 trips on intercity transport routes during the holiday. Bus frequency will be increased, with waiting times reduced to just five minutes during peak hours to manage passenger demand and minimise congestion at stations. Public transport services will also be expanded within the emirate, with 12 routes operating 1,144 trips daily across 527 bus stops using a fleet of 104 buses. In addition, eight daily marine transport trips will run between Sharjah and Dubai during the holiday, providing an alternative travel option and helping ease pressure on road networks. The combined measures are aimed at improving connectivity, supporting smooth travel and ensuring a comfortable experience for residents and visitors during Eid celebrations.
